Array

Array duplicates an object into an array of your choosing. The array can be in one, two or three dimensions and is updated as you change values in the numeric panel. There are two modes, Rectangular and Radial.

Rectangular options

  • Count X, Y, Z - How many of your object you want in the array.
  • Offset X, Y, Z - The distance between array elements modulated by the Mode dropdown below each entry. All offsets are measured from the leftmost point for X; the lowest point for Y and the furthest forward point for Z.
    • Between - The distance between each array element
    • Total - The total distance for the offset of array elements
    • Multiply - The distance between array elements is multiplied at each increment of the array
  • Random Position X, Y, Z - Randomizes the position of each array element up to the amount set, in both directions
  • Rotation X, Y, Z - Randomizes the rotation of each array element up to the amount set, in both directions
  • Scale - Randomizes the scale of each array element up to the amount set, in both directions

Radial options

  • Radial Count - How many objects are contained within the bounds of the Start and End angles. Array elements will be rotated to the circle
  • Start Angle - The beginning angle for the array. Negative numbers are possible. The default is 0°
  • End Angle - The end angle for the array. The default is 360° and while more cannot be achieved with the mini-slider numbers can be typed in this field
  • Offset - Raises on the Axis each object in the array modulated by the mode dropdown below
    • Between - The distance between each array element
    • Total - The total distance for the offset of array elements
    • Multiply - The distance between array elements is multiplied at each increment of the array
  • Axis - The axis in which you wish to make your array
  • Radial Center - Offset the center of your Polar array. Changing the Radial Center of the Axis in which your array is made has no effect
