New to Octane Render for LightWave 2024
Standard Material - The Standard Surface material closely aligns with the Autodesk Standard Surface shader specification. Much like the Octane Universal Material, the Standard Surface material is an uber surface shader with multiple layers of BSDF(s). It can address nearly all surface characteristics in one unified material.
Photon Tracing Kernal - The Photon Tracing kernel is designed to render caustics approximately 1000x faster and with less noise than the existing PMC kernel using a novel GPU photon mapping and path guide approach. This supports caustics.
Volume Ramp - A gradient function for the Volume Medium.
Octane DOF Range - Depth of Field range tool for use with Octane Camera Nodes.
Octane Spectron Node - Spectron Node for Volumetric Spotlights.
Octane Post Volume - This supports volumetric spotlights and 'god-rays' in your Octane renders.
